Ever feel like you’re so busy serving members that you don’t have the time or energy to talk with them? That was me 2 years ago, when our member numbers were in decline and I was on the hunt for silver-bullet strategies to retain new members. The conviction came when I realized I wasn’t saying “thank you” nearly enough or listening to those who had supported our association through thick and thin. I’ll share what we are doing now to better listen, connect and retain our members.

About Our Presenter

Scott Douglas is the Senior Director of Membership and Business Development at the National Strength and Conditioning Association. His professional focus is on member advocacy and communication initiatives, streamlining processes and maximizing volunteer engagement. Based in Colorado Springs but originally from LA, Scott has a diverse background in marketing communication, international business development and teaching adult learners.
