Associations, chambers of commerce, and for-profit business all have members and business relationships. There are both differences and similarities in how the various organization types deal with members and business relationships. There are experiences that one organization can share with the other to mutual advantage.
Garth Jordan, Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy, Healthcare Financial Management Association and Robert Golden, RCE, CAE, President/CEO, South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, are in the unique position of having experience with these different organization types. From their broad perspectives, they will share their viewpoints and tips on adapting this breadth into your organization’s membership and relationship programs.

Robert Golden, RCE, CAE
President and Chief Executive Offier, South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce
Prior to joining the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, Robert served as president of Golden Solution LLC, a Denver-based association consulting firm. He previously served the REALTORS® Association in executive leadership positions for 17 years in Colorado, Vermont and Florida. One of Golden’s key strengths is the creation of effective public policy infrastructure and outreach. He is also a skilled strategist with experience in coalition building, financial stewardship, and public relations. He is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Realtor Certified Executive (RCE).
Garth Jordan

Garth has held a number of association executive roles. Before his current position with the Healthcare Financial Management Association Previously, he was the COO & CFO of the MGMA (Medical Group Management Association) overseeing all IT, marketing, business development, membership, customer relations, and financial operations for this $25 million national health care association. He served as VP/COO of Mercy Housing and co-founded RevvCrew to help associations and non-profit organizations unlock their new revenue streams potential.
