About Our Presenter--John Register
John Register is a highly sought after international speaker who uses his life story to show audience members how to live life more courageously. He is a Gulf War Army veteran and a 2 times Olympic trials qualifier who suffered a career ending sports injury which resulted in the amputation of his left leg. Six years after his injury he won the Paralympic silver medal in the long jump in Sydney, Australia. Since that time Register’s ideas and concepts around disability, change, and mindshift have garnered national and international acclaim as he was asked by Secretary of State, Colin Powell, to be one of 8 advisors on disability foreign policy.
