Join us for our third Future of Associations Symposium when we delve in to the complex arena of how to navigate associations forward in a world with an accelerating pace, multiple technological changes, multi-generational workforces, innovations that need to be harnessed, and while managing with careful budgets and a 24/7 focus on member value.

This Symposium will provide you with guidance on how to integrate emotional intelligence so we learn how to make connections, how to ask questions (instead of jump to assumptions), how to create collaboration, and most importantly, guide associations and teams to an unknown future with simplification, strategy, planning, insight and "AAHA" moments.  We are honored to have Stevie Dawn Carter, PhD, as our featured national speaker, alongside an engaging Association CEO panel and case studies so you can garner insight, examples, best practices, and much more!  And, if you are a CAE, you will earn 5 credits for this half-day Symposium.

Garth Jordan, CEO, American Animal Hospital Association

Garth is back this year with a double-album (two-part) session, to explore the power of simplicity, generally, and its specific effects on business, including one association's strategy.  Along the way:

  • Find out the true origin story of Las Vegas;
  • Learn about applying human-centered design in your association;
  • Discover the difference between strategy and strategic planning;
  • Watch a CEO Avatar come to life from a pool of 1's and 0's;
  • Explore a new product idea that your association could launch; and
  • Challenge your leadership concept of what any given association is - versus what it could become.

If you've ever thought that the generic association model might be a little stale and in need of a new design, you can't miss seeing it being redesigned in real-time by Garth Jordan at the American Animal Hospital Association.
